Brigitte B. Zabak is a native Texan who has grown accustomed to the schizophrenic weather patterns of her fair state. She’s a single gal living in the heart of Houston with her adorable but unpredictable dachshund sidekick.
She’s a typical 30-something in the sense that she has many career aspirations, but very little focus. Her educational background includes a master’s degree in social work and she’s spent the last several years working in or with various governmental entities doing everything from communications to policy work. In her spare time, which seems to never be abundant, Brigitte is a freelance writer of music, novice food blogger, unexpected copy editor and business owner. If given the option, she would happily live off a diet of sushi, falafel and candy of the fruitfully gummy variety.
Though her educational and professional paths have focused on helping others, Brigitte was still searching for that “thing” that will connect her, in a sincere way, to others and their experiences. Turns out, Girlyfight is that thing. This site and its many manifestations is an opportunity for us to connect, to share, to be nice to each other – to change the world with one little nice thing at a time.

Stacia Rogan is a “relocated Yankee”, having escaped from her childhood home in rural Pennsylvania to set up camp in Raleigh, NC. She lives in a typical house in a typical neighborhood, but without the typical 2.5 children. Instead, she lives with her husband, Michael, whom she met on a blind date, and 2.5 cats (if you round up for attitude and mass).
Between PA and NC, a brief layover in Buffalo, NY provided wings, beer, and a degree in Computer Science. Though her career as a webmaster has served her well, her interests fall more to writing and marketing. Stacia also enjoys dabbling in the fields of photography, graphic design, cooking and wine-tasting.
Stacia is excited to combine her technical skills and creative abilities with her desire to bring something positive to the world around her. She has always believed that one person can make a difference if they are given the opportunity and are willing to take the risk. In launching Girlyfight, she hopes to help set that change in motion – not only for herself, but for other women as well.
