Prompt: Congratulations
Our weekly prompts are exercises in dreaming and doing. Some will feature specific questions, others will include just a word or phrase. Respond any way you like - whatever the prompt below inspires in you, go with it. Whether you respond with a written response (poetry, an essay, a bit of fiction) or a visual response (photo, paint, video, art), we’d love for you to share your responses with us by leaving a comment or link below.
This week's prompt:
Write yourself a note of congratulations on a job well-done.
This is actually a great way to make sure you take a moment to enjoy the completion of one project before you dive into another. It’s also a fabulous trick for keeping up morale on those larger projects that seem like they’ll never be done.

Dear Stacia –
Congratulations on writing over 30k words of your book. This has been a goal of yours for a long time and you’ve set out a plan that makes it achievable. Don’t worry about not reaching the goal of 50k by tomorrow night – that goal was somewhat arbitrary but you would’ve made it if your husband had not been sick. What’s important is that you picked back up where you left off yesterday and wrote another 3k words. You’re making progress again and that’s what really matters.

Dear Brigitte –
Congratulations on keeping up with your weight loss plan! I know this isn’t an easy task to accomplish but you are dedicated to getting healthy and taking the right steps towards meeting your big goal. Just remember that getting healthy takes time. It won’t happen overnight or even 6 months from now but every good decision is a step in the right direction. You’ve already been at this a month and seen real results that you EARNED. Keep up the good work!
