Prompt: The Power of Song

This week's prompt:
Music is a powerful tool. It helps soothe, inspire and motivate. Sometimes, we need music to help us reconnect to our past; to remind us of people and places we once knew. Other times, like the times when a creative block is alive and preventing us from starting or finishing a project, music can help us push past the drought of inspiration.

I love that idea!! Hope you find them useful and will definitely stop by to read.
When I’m trying to think my way around a creative block, I’ve found music distracts more than it helps. Unless it’s instrumental background music.
Still, powerful and/or beautiful music does generally inspire my spirit and that’s always good. But I find the magic is in the diversity – how do my emotions react to this song? And now this one? What events might go along with this as a soundtrack?
That’s very non-specific but generally how music works for me.
That makes sense! I’ve found that one song in particular helps me along and that’s “Oscillate Wildly” by The Smiths. It’s an instrumental piece and something about it just makes me want to go out and conquer the world!
