CiT: Share Your Links

Creatives in TrainingIn Tuesday’s post, we discussed various ways to support the creative community, including promoting work you admire. Today’s activity is designed to help spread the word and it’s a simple two-parter:

Part One

Leave a comment below with a link or information about the work of someone you admire. Tell us about your favorite jewelry-maker’s Etsy shop, the blog of an amazing cake decorator, or a link to info about your most-beloved musician.

or

Leave a comment below to YOUR creative pursuits. That’s right – feel free to pimp your own work. Share with the community what it is that you do and give us a link.

Part Two

Visit the links in the comments! We’d love it if our readers would take the time to visit the sites that are linked. That’s what community is about, after all!

Please don’t be shy about leaving your comments below. This is a fabulous way to gain support either for yourself or an artist or group that you believe in. We’re looking forward to visiting!

  1. I want to share the Etsy shop of my sister-in-law with you. She is amazing at crochet and makes the most beautiful afghans you have ever seen. I really admire how hard she works to make her pieces special. http://www.etsy.com/shop/melissajoscrochet

Also, I am going to be lame and plug my own shop as well, because you know you want to visit and snoop around. http://www.etsy.com/shop/thatssewlin

    • Please tell your sister-in-law that her shop is lovely! I love the wrist warmers – they look so cozy! And that navy and cream ripple afghan is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing!

And of course you already know I love your work. Readers – I can personally vouch for Melinda’s shop. Check it out!

  2. I love the posts from this vector tutorial site when I’m tinkering with creating my own blog graphics: http://vector.tutsplus.com/

I also love the creative freebies at http://www.medialoot.com

    • Great resources! I’ve marked the first so I can go back when I have a bit more time because those tutorials look amazing. MediaLoot has a sale on right now for credits and subscriptions and they seem very reasonably priced compared to some other sites I’ve looked at. Thank you for sharing!

    • Bernie – I enjoyed poking around your blog! Poetry is something I’ve attempted only a few times in my life and it does not appear to be a talent I possess. The Dragon Heart poem is quite poignant – thank you for linking us to it!
