CiT: (Week #1) Nurture Creativity in Yourself
We’re kicking off Creatives in Training month with the place we can make the most immediate difference – ourselves! It’s important to start right at home when it comes to creativity because if we can grow that part of our brain, it will help us do so many things for those around us.
It seems like it should be easy to take the steps to enhance those skills and spend the time doing things that let us express our right-brained desires. After all – we know what we want and we control how we spend our time, right? Of course it’s not that simple.
This week, we’ll explore ways you can carve out some precious time by sharing a few tips that will help you reconnect with your muse. On Wednesday, we have an inspirational POW! from a contributor (it makes a great desktop wallpaper). Thursday we’ll do a fun project to help us remember what’s important, and on Friday we’ll wrap up with some ideas from our readers about a small step they can take that will help them as they battle to make room for creativity in their busy lives.
We hope you’ll join us each day this week and share your own ideas about making space in your life to grow those sparks of ideas into something more tangible.

I could definitely use some guidance on how to make time for my creative endeavours. I tend to cram them in between other things, not giving my projects the time and effort they deserve.
